On February 6, 2018, a delegation led by Jiao Aiping, vice principal of Yellow River Conservancy Technical Institute, visited Zhumadian CIMC HuaJun Casting Co., Ltd. (CIMC HuaJun Foundry), a subsidiary of CIMC Vehicles (Group), and presented to CIMC HuaJun Foundry the tablet titled “Pilot Base for Modern Apprenticeship System of the Ministry of Education” on behalf of the institute.

Jiao said that the approval of this pilot project by the Ministry stood for its recognition on the teaching quality and the long-term reputation of the institute and on the brand culture of CIMC HuaJun Foundry. She hopes that both the institute and the company would perform their responsibility specified in the contract, designate their elite personnel, fulfill the task successfully based on the requirement of the assignment for the Apprenticeship System pilot project, and that the project would be smoothly accepted, providing practical basis for the Ministry of Education to introduce measures on the integration of enterprises and educational institutes and for the reform and promotion of modern apprenticeship system.

Then, she interpreted in detail the “Several Opinions on Deepening the Integration of Industry and Education” issued by the State Council and the background and significance of the Apprenticeship System pilot project launched by the Ministry of Education. She pointed out that the project was a key for the integration of enterprises and educational institutes in the higher vocational education and stressed that the project was different from the previous classes ordered or sponsored by companies in that it was largely characterized by two subjects, namely the enterprise and the educational institute, with both parties cooperating in the enrolling of students and recruiting of employees, students also being the apprentices, and the training program and core curriculum being formulated, implemented, and the assessment made jointly by both parties.

Li Shijie, General Manager of CIMC HuaJun Foundry, expressed his gratitude to the institute for its long-term support to the company in terms of human resources and gave great credit to the performance of graduates from the institute. He believes that, with this pilot project, the direction for addressing the imbalance between supply and demand of human resources for companies is set up and relevant measures are implemented. He said that his company was confident in performing this project and making it into a famous brand.
