LI Guiping Attends Academic Event at SJTU

On May 24, 2018, Shanghai JiaoTong University (SJTU) signed a new contract for cooperation with the University of Michigan (UM) on the newly built Long Bin Building of the UM-SJTU Joint Institute and launched the first “Global Degree Pathway” program in China. Both parties will jointly build a research center focusing on smart interconnection systems, energy materials and systems and make concerted efforts in the development of a leading teacher team.

Mr. David Li, Vice President of CIMC Group and CEO & President of CIMC Vehicles, attended the ceremony for launching the building and opening the joint research center on smart interconnection systems with representatives from home and the US as the representative of outstanding graduates from SJTU upon invitation and had an academic talk with teachers and students of the center.

It is reported that the building is located on the Minhang campus of SJTU with a total floor area of approximately 32,000 square meters, aiming to provide students with a hackerspace for free and open discussion and nurturing globally competitive persons of the next generation.
